Blood donation camp

     A single drop of blood can make a huge difference....

After a long break my blog is active again.

Today June 5th World Environment day. 

In spite of word environment day we the natural science association organized blood donation campa in relation  with the upcoming blood donation day on June 14th. The camp was organised by Natural Science Association -IZDIHAR 2022-24, HORUS 2021-23, IQAC, NSS, THEOSA, 66th and 67th college union in association with department of transfusion medicine KIMS health. Being a part of a life saving network a lot of donors had come to donate their blood and be a part of this event. Volunteers and health care proffesionals of Kims Health and each and every one participate in the camp make it successful. Our principal Joju john sir and staff coordinator Shiney Jacob mam and all the teaching and non teachings staffs provide their utmost support in making this event memorable. Our seniors and us made a lot of effort together and cooperate each other for our successful step in. Around 44 members are registered in this blood donation camp and embrace the spirit of compassion. A small talk on awareness about blood donation is also organised and presented by Dr Sanuja Pinky, HOD department of transfusion medicine KIMS health.

The camp was started with an inaugural function with a prayer and welcome speech. Our principal Dr Joju John sir, Rev. Father Thomas Kaialakkal and Shiney Jacob ma'am gave inaugural speech and our guest Sanuja mam gave a key not address and the section was ended with vote of thanks. After the inaugural function we headed towards basketball court and flew away hydrogen balloon as part of the campaign along with a pledge. Camp had ended at 12.30pm.

It was such a memorable day......

 January 20, 2023 It's Friday. Let's go for a trip. Not a normal pleasure trip but a field trip. But field trip can also be a pleasure trip with a little bit memories.  All optional organized their field trips in places of their own choice. We planned the trip to 3 destinations- veli, zoologicalpark and museum. Our journey starts at 10 am from palayam and we went off to veli as 2 groups. One group with 2 members in two wheeler and rest in our mentor Mrs Shiney Jacob mam's car. We reached at our first destination at 10.30 am.  The Veli tourist Village is only 12 kms from the capital Thiruvanathapuram, and is a wonderful and relaxing escape from the city. Day 18 of teaching practice

 14 November, 2023 Today is November 14 , Children's day. A rally of small children was organised in the St. Mary's school. Reached school at 8.45 am and marked the morning attendance. Today was our 2 nd observation day. For the observation I arranged the class in 9 D on fourth hour. I already have hour on 5th and 6th period in 9 D and 8 U respectively. Shiney ma'am went for observation in Sruthy's and Sr ranit' s class on 3rd hour and came to my class on fourth hour and wrote down my positives and suggestions for improvement in the next class. I completed one lesson plan on the topic " Excretion in other organisms" of the chapter "Excretion to maintain homeostasis" in that hour. On the 5 th hour in the same class I taught the next topic and further completed another lesson plan on the topic " Excretion in plants",  thus completed that chapter. Day 5 of teaching practice

 10 October, 2023 Reached school at 9:00 a.m. and marked the morning attendance. I had morning line duty from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Day starts with a prayer. Today I had two classes. One in 9 D on the fifth hour and in 8 U on the 6th hour. On the 4th hour I went with malavika of English to manage her substitution class on 9 L. On the fifth hour I take class on 9 D on the topic "Vital capacity", "Respiration in other organisms" and "Respiration in plants". I had completed my two lesson plan using appropriate teaching aids such as ICT chart and activity cards. I grouped them, gave them activities and also gave notes and collected it in the end of my class. Then I went to 8 U and introduced a new chapter "Why classification" using ICT . Thus I completed half of my lesson plan. After my classes I corrected the notes which is collected from 9 D and distributed back to them.
