Day 2

Second day of school induction. At 8.15 am we reached school and mark the attendance. Then we went to our allotted place. Today all of us got the chance to be an invigilator on the exam hall. I am allotted to 6C class substituting a sir. There, both 6th and 7th class students are seated- 6D and 7A. Sir gave me instructions to be followed until the exams are over. Sir also remained in the class till the distribution of question paper.

After that the whole class comes under my control. From 6D ,total 9 students of which only 7 are present and from 7A, total 10 students and all are present. All of them are boys so naughtiness and cleverness will be very high. So I faced all expecting anything but I am lucky that I got little bit of naughty kids. They can be managed so easily. Exam starts at 9.45 and ends at 11.45 am. Class 6th has English exam and 7th has Hindi exam. They all have called me teachers and to be frank at that time I feel happy but when I thought about the whole incident happened in that exam hall I want to spend more time with them and my happiness and smile in my face I can't explain it with any words. They called me teacher for asking doubts,  for additional sheets, for naughty complaining ; I am more excited for tomorrow. And it's the most beautiful word that I heard today "TEACHER". 

Some naughties had tried to  copy but can't escape from my surveillance. One naughty in them is Abhinav from 7D and he is the one who called me teacher when I distributed the question paper. I gave instructions to the whole class to lie down (those who finished their exams) but he can't. Always talkative and he can't give rest to his hands-always working. But I liked each and everyone. 

Only for 5 minutes I sat down and the rest of the time I am walking to and fro, to the sideways watching all of them. But the view I got at that 5 minutes was so thrilling and a moment of joy. Because till yesterday I was a student who is writing exams sitting before a teacher but now I become a teacher and students are sitting in front of me, writing their exams. Another funny matter is that half of the boys had finished their exams at 10.20 am that stunned me. I also had some little funny talks with some of them and I loved that 2 hour. It was my first experience and I totally enjoyed it and the feeling to be a teacher can't be replaced by anything.

 January 20, 2023 It's Friday. Let's go for a trip. Not a normal pleasure trip but a field trip. But field trip can also be a pleasure trip with a little bit memories.  All optional organized their field trips in places of their own choice. We planned the trip to 3 destinations- veli, zoologicalpark and museum. Our journey starts at 10 am from palayam and we went off to veli as 2 groups. One group with 2 members in two wheeler and rest in our mentor Mrs Shiney Jacob mam's car. We reached at our first destination at 10.30 am.  The Veli tourist Village is only 12 kms from the capital Thiruvanathapuram, and is a wonderful and relaxing escape from the city. Day 5 of teaching practice

 10 October, 2023 Reached school at 9:00 a.m. and marked the morning attendance. I had morning line duty from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Day starts with a prayer. Today I had two classes. One in 9 D on the fifth hour and in 8 U on the 6th hour. On the 4th hour I went with malavika of English to manage her substitution class on 9 L. On the fifth hour I take class on 9 D on the topic "Vital capacity", "Respiration in other organisms" and "Respiration in plants". I had completed my two lesson plan using appropriate teaching aids such as ICT chart and activity cards. I grouped them, gave them activities and also gave notes and collected it in the end of my class. Then I went to 8 U and introduced a new chapter "Why classification" using ICT . Day 18 of teaching practice

 14 November, 2023 Today is November 14 , Children's day. A rally of small children was organised in the St. Mary's school. Reached school at 8.45 am and marked the morning attendance. Today was our 2 nd observation day. For the observation I arranged the class in 9 D on fourth hour. I already have hour on 5th and 6th period in 9 D and 8 U respectively. Shiney ma'am went for observation in Sruthy's and Sr ranit' s class on 3rd hour and came to my class on fourth hour and wrote down my positives and suggestions for improvement in the next class. I completed one lesson plan on the topic " Excretion in other organisms" of the chapter "Excretion to maintain homeostasis" in that hour. On the 5 th hour in the same class I taught the next topic and further completed another lesson plan on the topic " Excretion in plants",  thus completed that chapter.
